The first moment I saw this place I was totally captivated. More so when I entered the place napapa WOW me to the max. As far as I remember I have been uttering praise over and over again. Everything inside pleases my “malikot na mata” or adulterous and treacherous eyes hehe. Surprise of all surprises when I entered the CR, it was really devilishly beautiful, eloquently preachy and weirdly funny hehe. What a night to remember when we welcomed my best friend, Prof. Josefino Laguna, fondly called “Nonoy” or Col. Moore hehe. Welcome and a thousand thanks for the pasalubong, Noy! Sarap…

Indeed nothing happens by chance. One evening, I decided to stroll along Tomas Morato to have a personal view and  feel of what is happening in this popular haven for dinner, hangout and gimik at night. Then there was sudden downpour of rain so I was forced to look for a place where I could stay and eat for a while. It happened to be the place near my location was Finio, a cozy place yet classy, clean and orderly. Waiters are friendly, accomodating and respectful, typical of a Classic Filipino. Without any idea about the restaurant I just asked what’s their bestseller? So they served me “Barbeque Leg Quarter.” That order includes already a Java rice at the price of P160. Too cheap for a nice place like Finio. Hence, it was a complete meal for me that evening. You know what I have found inside? Finio has been featured in various newspapers and many celebrities have been to this place for lunch and dinner. I do believe that they came here not for curiosity’s sake but for a reason or by “word of mouth” of those who came ahead of them. Be counted. Be there. Spread the word.

Looking for a place to hangout in Ayala and taste the delicious Filipino food on your table? Well Gerry’s Grill is a place to go to fulfill your craving stomach.  This is not my first time to come to this place but it is only now that I have the chance to try this popular Filipino Restaurant in Glorietta 2. Why?  It is always full of people and you have to wait for 20 minutes or more to be accomodated except in the garden area. This is what happened to me then. I did not wait, however, in their waiting  area but at the bar where I have to drink San Mig Beer Light while enjoying its ambience. Here you have the choice either to eat inside or at the garden. I preferred the garden it gives me totally different atmosphere in an urban place like Makati. Try their delicious sizzling sisig, seafoods, sinugba inihaw , molo, batchoy and sinigang and you’ll lose your diet even for a night hehe. Once you came here  you’ll certainly go back not only because of the foods and drinks they offer but also because of the place, the preferred hangout of many gimikeros and gimikeras in Makati. Nice place for friends and family members.

This is my first time to come to the newly constructed Glorietta 5.  You will feel proud of the Philippines when you are here hehe.  The first restaurant I tried was Fish Out Of The Water. Seeing various foods already served at the tables of the other customers ahead of us made me hungry and  my  appetite for food suddenly got stronger and uncontrollable. We were fortunate to have ordered  that night “Thang Nang”  their Vietnamese Roasted Garlic Crab. Indeed, they are right in their claim that this is “probably the best crab meal you’ll ever have.” I can personally attest to it. I would definitely come back for more! This is really a good place for relaxing lunches and dinners with friends and loved ones.
