I have been hearing and reading good things about this restaurant. My dream to come and to taste some of the delicacies of Choi Garden known for its Chinese cuisine finally came true when Dr. Linda treated Clem, Alice and myself for a sumptuous lunch. My first impression and expression when I came to this place was, “Wow sosyal!” The place is elegant in the Oriental sense of the word. It is totallly different from the usual Chinese restaurants that you know. I am truly impressed and it really changed my perceptions and biases about Chinese restaurant in the various parts of the Philippines.
These are what we ordered for lunch:
Shark Fin Roast Duck
Garlic Prawn
Seafood Bean Curt in Pot
Macau Lechon
Fried Rice
Taho
Four Seasons
Mango Pudding
Chinese foods are usually associated with Vetsin or monosodium glutamate and rich in oil and fats and because of that it is jokingly said that when you are fond of chinese foods you are “killing yourself softly and sweetly.” Choi garden makes a great difference when it publicly declares that the foods it offers has “no MSG, less fats, less oil and less sugar. It is also “less price” due to is policy of “no service charge.” To date, this is the best chinese restaurant for me. Indeed Choi is the best choice for you and me!
