Phone Number: (63 2) 727-6042, (63 2) 727-7489
Website: Choi Garden
I have been hearing and reading good things about this restaurant. My dream to come and to taste some of the delicacies of Choi Garden known for its Chinese cuisine finally came true when Dr. Linda treated Clem, Alice and myself for a sumptuous lunch. My first impression and expression when I came to this place was, “Wow sosyal!” The place is elegant in the Oriental sense of the word. It is totallly different from the usual Chinese restaurants that you know. I am truly impressed and it really changed my perceptions and biases about Chinese restaurant in the various parts of the Philippines.
These are what we ordered for lunch:
Shark Fin Roast Duck
Seafood Bean Curt in Pot
Chinese foods are usually associated with Vetsin or monosodium glutamate and rich in oil and fats and because of that it is jokingly said that when you are fond of chinese foods you are “killing yourself softly and sweetly.” Choi garden makes a great difference when it publicly declares that the foods it offers has “no MSG, less fats, less oil and less sugar. It is also “less price” due to is policy of “no service charge.” To date, this is the best chinese restaurant for me. Indeed Choi is the best choice for you and me!

If you are looking for both Chinese and floating restaurant, Jumbo Kingdom is the right place for you. When we learned that Jumbo Kingdom will be drydocked at the end of October for an indefinite period of time we did not waste time to have our lunch there with an apprehension that it might be the last. Ambiance is still excellent. Service is now efficient (it has improved a lot since the last time I came here). Food relatively tastes good. Staffs and servers are now more accomodating, courteous and friendly. One is even fluent in Spanish which makes one of our companions inspired to speak once again that language. That adds joy and fun to the moment. Thanks to the people of Jumbo Kingdom who have treated as like kings and queens and famous and rich!
