Dinner with Aris, Danny and Rey @ CYMA, Trinoma ’09. This is my second time to have dinner in CYMA, a restaurant known for its Greek cuisine.  This time the occasion is both the Welcome and the Farewell Party of Rey and Danny.  We order the following:

  • Spinach and Artichoke Fondue – P 350
  • Roka Salata (Share) – P 460
  • Moschari Brizola (Greek Steak) – P 770
  • Salmon (Roasted Cedar Plank) – P 360
  • Local Seabass (Managat) – P 700 (P1 per gram)
  • CYMA Lamb Chops (Shoulder Loin) – P420
  • Side Spanakorizo – P 130
  • Baklava (Desert) – P 180

Here you will surprise to find a great selection of traditional Greek food that is home made.  Everything here is great and deserving of praise and admiration: food, ambiance and service.  This place is always full of people. Don’t settle for less. Come and enjoy Greek food in CYMA.

Special thanks to Quennie. She’s so welcoming,  friendly, and efficient in serving us all. Thanks too for the complimentary dessert – Baklava.

Gimik with July, Alex, Sonny, and Allan @ Gerry’s Grill @ Trinoma ‘08. As usual this popular Filipino Restaurant is full of people. Many tables inside the air-conditioned room were occupied by malling families who decided to dine out on Sunday. While many gimikeros and gimikeras could be found outside on its non-airconditioned, hangout and smoking area. If I were to choose I prefer to dine and drink outside because of its view and ventilation. It’s relaxing and refreshing being there. Of course, if it is not raining. Foods and drinks are a bit cheaper. Foods are delightful to eat too. Service is fast. Nice place for families and friends.

It has been said that rest is an essential component of work itself. It is not a luxury but a necessity. If you want to accelerate your aging process, simply work and work and work. Sooner or later you’ll realize you are not looking and feeling as young, healthy, lovely and lively as before. One Thursday evening I decided to spend my day-off inside the newly built Mall in our area named Trinoma. After enjoying strolling and taking pictures I invited my friend Jerry who is both residing and working nearby. And we decided to have a Greek Cuisine for our dinner. Trinoma, for your information, has CYMA to cater that needs. Since we are not familiar with Greek Cuisines and we want to be safe we ordered not only their delicacies but also their customers’ favorites like: Spinach in Artichoke Fondue (P350) and Paidaka Charcoal Grilled Lamb Baby Back Ribs served with your choice of rice stuffed pepper or Greek Potatoes (P595). Presentation is nice. Taste is quite good. Service is efficient. Servers are friendly, accomodating and respectful.

After we had our dinner at CYMA we decided to continue our conversation over a bottle of drinks and appetizers (pulutan) preferably in a place with live band, nice views, air ventilation, and a bit lively atmostphere within the Mall. That night we had chosen Gilligan’s Island. Here you will see many people young and old alike enjoying the urban life of Metro Manila at night. Our experience showed that Gilligan’s is the last bar and restaurant which remained openned for public in Trinoma. So, if you do shopping and you feel not going home yet, try, explore and enjoy what Gilligan’s can offer to your needs and satisfaction.
